Organize Multiple Fluid Storage Tanks by Color
Plan Your Storage Layout
Decide how many separate fluid types you need to store and which colors will represent them. Arrange tanks in a grid or line, leaving space for pumps and pipes between them.
Craft and Place Colored Tanks
Obtain colored fluid tank variants matching your color scheme. Place them in your chosen layout. Each colored tank holds fluid just like a standard Create tank—capacity and mechanics are unchanged.
Connect Input and Output Lines
Use matching-colored pipes to connect each tank to its dedicated input and output. This prevents accidental cross-contamination and makes it obvious which pump or spout feeds which tank.
Add Gauges for Quick Reference
Place colored boiler gauges or fluid level indicators on or near each tank. Colored gauges match their tank's dye, giving you a quick visual check of fill levels across your entire storage area.
Route to Consumers
Run output pipes from each colored tank to the machines or systems that need that specific fluid. Keep colors consistent so you can trace any line back to its source tank instantly.
