Enhance Water and Reflection Appearance
Enable Reflection Features
Vibrant Cinematic Rays includes environmental reflections that make water, glass, and polished surfaces mirror their surroundings. Access shader settings and locate reflection or water-related options.
Configure Reflection Quality
Adjust these settings to balance beauty and performance:
- Reflection resolution: Higher values show more detail but cost more frames
- Reflection distance: Control how far reflections render into the scene
- Water surface detail: Enable parallax on water for subtle wave depth
Maximize Visual Impact
Reflections are most striking near water during golden hour (sunrise/sunset) when cinematic rays interact with the surface. Position yourself:
- Near large bodies of water or rain
- Looking at glass structures with sky behind them
- In areas with wet terrain after rain
The shader's color grading enhances reflected light, making water appear more vibrant and alive. If reflections seem dim, check your overall brightness and ambient light settings—these affect how reflections are illuminated. Experiment with different water blocks and surfaces to see how the shader interprets various materials.
