Use the Giant Spyglass for Scouting Without Changing Zoom

How Zoom Behavior Works

The Very Big Spy Glass Resource Pack is purely visual—it does not alter vanilla zoom mechanics. When you use the spyglass, you'll zoom in exactly as the standard spyglass does, but your character will hold a hilarious oversized pirate telescope instead.

Scouting Steps

1. Hold the spyglass in your main hand

2. Right-click to activate zoom (same as vanilla)

3. Look around to scout distant terrain, structures, or landmarks

4. Right-click again to exit zoom mode

Third-Person Advantage

Switch to third-person view before scouting to see the full comedic effect of the giant telescope model. This is especially entertaining when exploring with other players or recording footage. The oversized model won't obstruct your view—it's purely cosmetic and doesn't affect your field of vision or zoom distance.
