Troubleshoot Missing or Incorrect Spyglass Model

Common Issues

Model doesn't appear: OptiFine may not be active. Verify it's installed and selected in your launcher's version settings. The resource pack requires OptiFine's custom item model rendering to function.

Model looks wrong or glitchy: Check that no conflicting resource packs are active above the Very Big Spy Glass pack in your resource pack list. Lower-priority packs can override custom models.

Fix Steps

1. Restart Minecraft completely after enabling the pack

2. Check resource pack order in Settings → Resource Packs (Very Big Spy Glass should be high priority)

3. Disable other cosmetic packs temporarily to rule out conflicts

4. Verify OptiFine version matches your Minecraft version

5. Reload the world if changes don't take effect immediately

Still Not Working?

Confirm you're holding an actual spyglass item. The model only appears when the spyglass is in your hand or equipped. Creative mode or survival mode both work equally well for testing.
