How to Place Fallen Leaves, Branches and Hollow Logs

Laying the litter layer

The Verdure ground litter blocks are Fallen Oak Leaves, Fallen Birch Leaves, Fallen Spruce Leaves, Fallen Jungle Leaves, Fallen Acacia Leaves and Fallen Dark Oak Leaves. Each one matches its tree, so pick the type that grows around your build.

Place Fallen Oak Leaves and Fallen Birch Leaves under and around the matching trees. Use Fallen Spruce Leaves in colder, darker forest areas. Use Fallen Jungle Leaves where the ground is dense and wet. Use Fallen Acacia Leaves in dry, open country, and Fallen Dark Oak Leaves under thick canopy where light is low.

Adding branches and logs

Oak Branch and Birch Branch are the small woody pieces. Place them on top of the fallen leaves or on bare Humus and Packed Dirt so the litter layer looks uneven.

Hollow Log is the larger piece. Set it down where a fallen trunk would naturally rest, then surround it with the matching Fallen Leaves for that tree type. Add Pebbles, Rock and Slate around the log to suggest debris.

To finish the layer, tuck Clover, Wildflowers and Daisies between the leaves and branches. Keep the leaf type consistent within one patch, then change type only where the tree species changes.
