How to Build a Forest Floor with Clover, Daisies and Wildflowers

Choosing the ground blocks

A Verdure forest floor starts with Humus as the main surface. Replace patches of it with Packed Dirt for worn areas and Dried Mud for bare, dry spots. This gives you three tones to work with before you add any plants.

Scattering the plants

Place Clover in broad, low patches across the Humus. It is the filler layer, so use more of it than anything else.

Add Daisies, Blue Daisies and Pink Daisies in small groups of two or three, spaced apart. Do not line them up. Put Wildflowers where you want a taller, busier cluster, and keep them near the edges of clearings.

For mushrooms, place Brown Mushroom Shelf and Red Mushroom Shelf on the sides of Hollow Log or on raised ground, not flat on the floor.

Adding structure

Lay Fallen Oak Leaves, Fallen Birch Leaves or Fallen Spruce Leaves under the matching trees. Drop Oak Branch and Birch Branch on top of the leaves. Scatter Pebbles, Rock and Slate through the clover.

Where the floor meets a wall or slope, add Wall Roots, Hanging Moss and Tall Hanging Moss. Keep the same plant mix across the whole area so the floor reads as one continuous patch.
