Troubleshoot Visual Glitches and Artifacts
Identify Common Issues
If you see flickering shadows, banding (visible color stripes), or uneven lighting:
- Flickering: Often caused by path-tracing samples being too low. Increase sample count in settings.
- Banding: Reduce shadow softness or increase lighting precision if available.
- Uneven lighting: Check that your graphics driver is current and that no conflicting mods are active.
Reset to Defaults
If adjustments make things worse, reset shader settings to default values. This clears any conflicting configuration. Then reapply changes gradually.
Check Mod Conflicts
Some mods that heavily modify lighting or rendering can conflict with shaders. If problems persist, try disabling other visual mods temporarily to isolate the issue.
Verify Installation
Ensure VerdantLight Lite is properly installed in your shader folder and that your Minecraft version is compatible. Reinstalling the shader often resolves persistent visual errors without affecting your world or other settings.
