Adjust Shader Intensity and Visual Effects

Access Shader Settings

Open your in-game options menu and look for the Shaders or Graphics section. VanillaX provides a dedicated settings panel where you can fine-tune how prominent the visual enhancements appear in your world.

Customize Reflection Strength

Locate the reflection or water quality slider. You can reduce reflection intensity if you prefer a subtler look, or increase it to make water and polished blocks more visually striking. This is useful if reflections feel too glossy on your preferred blocks.

Tweak Lighting Adjustments

Find the lighting or brightness controls to adjust how the shader handles shadows and highlights. Lower values preserve more of vanilla's original lighting, while higher values apply VanillaX's modern lighting more aggressively.

Performance vs. Quality

If you notice frame rate drops despite VanillaX's low-end optimization, dial back reflection quality or disable certain visual features. The mod is designed to run smoothly, but older systems may benefit from reduced effect intensity. Test changes in a small area first before committing to a full session.

All adjustments take effect immediately without restarting your world.
