This data pack updates Nature's Spirit biome spawning to include the new wolf variants from Vanilla Backport. When you explore Nature's Spirit biomes, you'll encounter wolves with the updated appearances and colors instead of only the default gray wolf.

Exploring for Variants

Wolves spawn in Nature's Spirit forest and temperate biomes. Travel through different biome regions within the mod to find variety—each biome type may have wolves with different characteristics. Spend time in multiple areas to see the full range of available variants.

Using Your Finds

Tame any wolf variant you encounter using bones. Tamed wolves keep their appearance and can be bred to create packs with consistent looks. You can also mix variants through breeding to experiment with different combinations.

Make sure the data pack is active in your world. If you're only seeing standard gray wolves in Nature's Spirit biomes, verify the data pack appears in your world's data pack list and is positioned correctly in the load order.
