How to Level Up and Get Skill Points

Earning Skill Points

Skill points are spent at the Altar of Infusion. You gain them by leveling up your vampire or hunter level. For Vampires, feeding on blood and using vampire abilities grants experience toward the next level. For Hunters, killing Vampires and hostile mobs grants hunter experience.

Spending Points at the Altar of Infusion

Place an Altar of Infusion and interact with it. The altar shows your available skill points and the abilities you can unlock. Select an ability to spend a point. Higher-tier abilities require a higher level before they become available, so keep leveling to unlock them.

Building the Altar

An Altar of Infusion is built from Altar Pillars and an Altar Tip placed on top. Surround the structure as required by the recipe. The Altar of Inspiration is a related block used in the same progression chain. Once assembled, the Altar of Infusion is your main interface for spending points. If you run out of points, go back to feeding (Vampire) or hunting (Hunter) to earn more. The Altar of Cleansing is separate and is used to remove vampire effects, not to spend points.
