How to Cure Vampirism and Become Human Again

Preparing the Cure

Curing vampirism requires the Altar of Cleansing. Build the altar from Altar Pillars and an Altar Tip, matching the structure required by the recipe. You also need Pure Blood, which is refined in the Alchemical Cauldron using blood and reagents from the Alchemy Table.

Using the Altar of Cleansing

Stand at the completed Altar of Cleansing with Pure Blood in your inventory and interact with the altar. The cleansing process removes the vampire state and returns you to human. After curing, you can eat normal food again and you no longer burn in sunlight.

After Curing

Once human, you are eligible to become a Vampire Hunter if you wish, or you can be re-infected by a Vampire to turn again. Note that curing resets your vampire level and skill points, so any abilities you unlocked at the Altar of Infusion are lost. If you plan to switch to the hunter path, craft a Basic Crossbow and an Arrow clip after curing. Keep spare Pure Blood and Blood Bottles stored at your base in case you need to cure again later.
