How to Build the Altars and Use the Alchemy Chain

Altar of Infusion and Altar of Cleansing

Both altars are assembled from Altar Pillars topped with an Altar Tip. Place the pillars in the pattern the recipe requires, then place the Altar Tip on top to complete the structure. The Altar of Infusion is where you spend skill points on vampire abilities. The Altar of Cleansing is where you remove the vampire state using Pure Blood. The Altar of Inspiration is a related block in the same progression chain.

Alchemy Table and Alchemical Cauldron

The Alchemy Table is used for the alchemical_table recipe type, where you combine reagents into advanced ingredients. The Alchemical Cauldron is used for the alchemical_cauldron recipe type, where you process blood and materials into refined products such as Pure Blood. Place both near your altar setup so you can move between them quickly.

Supporting Blocks

Use a Blood Sieve and Blood Grinder to gather and process blood, and a Blood Container or Blood Pedestal to store it. Blood-Infused Iron Ingots and Blood-Infused Iron Blocks are crafted from blood and iron and feed into higher-tier recipes. Dark Stone, Dark Stone Bricks, Chiseled Dark Stone Bricks and Bloody Dark Stone Brick are the structural blocks for these builds. Cursed Planks, Cursed Logs and Cursed Wood are the wood variants. Light the area with Candelabras, Candle Sticks, Chandeliers or a Cross.
