Making Stews, Soups and Bone Broth
Stews and soups are the most efficient way to turn a mixed harvest into long-lasting food. ValleyCraft includes Bear Stew, Beef Stew, Carrot Stew, Campfire Stew Pot recipes and Bone Broth.
Gathering Ingredients
Bear Stew needs bear meat, which comes from hunting Bear. Beef Stew uses beef. Carrot Stew uses Carrot Crate contents or loose carrots. Bone Broth uses bones, which drop from most animals and can also be stored as Bone Joint Block.
Cooking Method
Use a Campfire Stew Pot or Campfire Ring for campfire_cooking recipes. A Brick Stove or Carmine Brick Stove can also process stews through smelting where the recipe allows. Keep a Brazier lit nearby so you can cook after dark.
Serving and Storage
Pour finished stews into a Bowl Block for display, or carry them in a Bento Box. Bottle of Pumpkin Soup is a portable soup variant if you prefer bottles over bowls. Pair stews with Bread Dough baked into bread, or with Apple Pie for dessert.
Scaling Up
Cook several stews at once by keeping multiple Campfire Stew Pots running. Stockpile Bone Broth as a base and add vegetables per batch so you do not waste a full pot on a single serving.
