How to Build Parallel Tracks with the Double Track Builder

When to Use It

Use the Double Track Builder when you need two parallel rail lines running side by side, such as for a two-way route where carts travel in opposite directions. It places both lanes at once, keeping them aligned.

Laying the Route

Place the Double Track Builder at your starting point and extend it along the path. Both rails appear together, so you do not have to measure spacing manually. This is the fastest way to build a symmetric corridor between two stations.

Terminating Both Lanes

At each end, place a Buffer Stop on both lanes so carts stop at the platform. If the two lanes need to merge or cross, use an Intersection Rail where the paths meet. This lets carts switch between the parallel lines without a gap in the track.

Managing Speed on Each Lane

If one lane is for express traffic and the other for local, place High Speed Rail (5 Blocks/Tick) on the express lane and Speed Clamp Rail (0.25 Blocks/Tick) on the local lane. The speed difference keeps fast carts from catching slow ones on the same corridor. Test each lane separately before running both at once.
