Optimize Performance on Mid-Range Hardware
Check Current Frame Rate
Enable the frame counter (usually F3 key or through shader menu) to see your current FPS. URBANOS RELEASE Shaders is designed for medium hardware, so you should see stable performance. If frames drop significantly, shader settings need adjustment.
Reduce Shadow Quality
Access shader settings and lower shadow resolution or distance. This reduces GPU load while maintaining the soft lighting aesthetic. Start by reducing shadow map resolution incrementally.
Disable Advanced Effects Selectively
Look for toggles for features like volumetric lighting, bloom, or reflections. Disabling one or two of these can recover frames without losing the shader's core appeal. Test each change to find your performance sweet spot.
Lower Render Distance
Reduce chunk render distance in Video Settings. This is often the biggest performance factor and works alongside shader optimization.
Monitor Stability
Play for several minutes after each adjustment. Stable 60+ FPS is ideal; if you're below 30 FPS consistently, consider reducing settings further or allocating more RAM to Minecraft.
