Achieve Natural-Looking Sunsets and Sunrises
Understand Color Grading
URBANOS RELEASE Shaders includes color balance adjustments that shift hues during different times of day. These settings control how warm or cool your world appears during transitions.
Access Time-Based Settings
In shader options, find color or atmosphere controls. Some packs allow separate adjustments for sunrise, noon, sunset, and night. Explore these menus to see what's available.
Adjust Saturation and Warmth
During sunset, increase warm tones (reds and oranges) slightly by adjusting color temperature or saturation sliders. This creates golden-hour lighting without making the world look artificial.
Use Contrast Wisely
Sunsets benefit from slightly increased contrast between lit and shadowed areas. This emphasizes the dramatic angle of low sunlight. Avoid extreme values that create harsh, unrealistic shadows.
Observe Multiple Cycles
Watch several in-game day-night cycles to see how your adjustments look across different weather and terrain. Clouds, water, and landscape all interact with sunset lighting differently.
Small tweaks to color and contrast create the most convincing natural transitions.
