Using the Sawmill for Wood Variants

What the Sawmill Does

The mod includes the woodworks:sawmill recipe type with 36 recipes. The Sawmill is where you process wood into the mod's wooden parts, including the Chiseled Driftwood Bookshelf and Chiseled River Bookshelf. If you are building with wood and want the mod's shelf blocks, the Sawmill is the station to set up.

Setting Up a Workflow

Place your Sawmill next to your other stations so you can move between wood, stone, and cooking tasks in one area. Feed it the wood you have on hand and pull out the shelf and wood-part results. Pair the output with the stone side of the mod: run Coralstone through a Stonecutter for Coralstone Slab, Coralstone Stairs, and Coralstone Wall, and craft Chiseled Coralstone or a colored Chiseled variant such as Chiseled Acan Coralstone or Chiseled Chrome Coralstone for accents. For a full interior, combine Chiseled Driftwood Bookshelf and Chiseled River Bookshelf with Beachgrass Thatch Slab ceilings and Blue Jelly Torch lighting. Keep a chest of raw wood beside the Sawmill and a chest of Coralstone beside the Stonecutter so each station has its own input. That split keeps a large build moving without sorting materials every few minutes.
