Catching the Fish

Several fish can be caught and kept in buckets: Bucket of Perch, Bucket of Pike, Bucket of Lionfish, Bucket of Nautilus, Bucket of Squid, Bucket of Glow Squid, and Bucket of Jellyfish. Use a bucket on the fish to pick it up, then carry it to a tank or release it where you want it.

Perch, Pike, and Lionfish are the food fish. Each has a raw form and a cooked form: Cooked Perch, Cooked Pike, and Cooked Lionfish.

Cooking Methods

You have three ways to cook each fish:

• Smelting in a furnace
• Campfire cooking
• Smoking in a smoker

Smoking is the fastest of the three. Place the raw fish in the smoker's input slot with fuel below, and it cooks faster than a furnace. Campfire cooking needs no fuel but takes longer and works well at a beach camp.

Other Edible and Decorative Items

Boiled Pickerelweed is a food item made from Pickerelweed. Boiled Pickerelweed Block is the block form, useful for storage or decoration. Blue Jelly Torch and Blue Jelly Wall Torch are light sources you can craft and place; they work as normal torches but with a blue tint.

Keep buckets of Jellyfish, Squid, and Glow Squid for display rather than cooking — only Perch, Pike, and Lionfish have cooked food forms.
