Prepare Before Darkness Falls

As your first day ends, ensure you're in a secure shelter with a door and roof. Monsters spawn in darkness, so staying indoors is essential. Craft a bed from wool and wood to set your spawn point and skip through nights safely. Light up your shelter with torches to prevent mob spawning inside.

Defensive Building Strategies

Build your base with walls or fences to keep mobs out. Position your shelter on higher ground if possible—monsters have harder times reaching elevated structures. Light the perimeter around your base with torches to create a safe zone. As you gather resources, craft better armor and weapons to handle encounters if you venture out at night.

Always have an escape route planned and know where your base is located. If caught outside at night, climb high or find shelter quickly. Once you're established, you can expand defensive measures like watchtowers or moats to protect your growing settlement.
