Building and Expanding Your Settlement
Plan Your Layout Before Building
Before placing blocks, walk around your chosen area and visualize where structures should go. Leave space for farms, animal pens, storage areas, and future expansion. Consider terrain—flatten ground if needed, or build on slopes for visual interest. Mark out building areas with temporary blocks so you can see your plan.
Construct in Phases
Start with a simple shelter using wood and stone. Once secure, build a storage area with chests for your resources. Add a crafting station and furnace nearby for convenience. Expand outward by adding farms for food, pens for animals, and defensive structures if desired.
Use the natural landscape to your advantage—build against hillsides, incorporate water features, or create terraced farms on slopes. As your settlement grows, connect buildings with paths or roads to create a cohesive village feel across your chosen region.
