The Core Tools

The Precision line covers five tools: Precision Pick, Precision Axe, Precision Shovel, Precision Sword, and Precision Hammer. Each is made through crafting_shaped recipes, so you need a crafting table and the correct ingredient layout.

Precision Gem is the key material for these tools. You obtain Precision Gems through the mod's processing chain, and they are also used to craft the Precision Block, a storage-style block for the gem.

Practical Use

Build the Precision Pick first if you are mining, since it gates your access to more Precision Gems. Follow with the Precision Axe and Precision Shovel for wood and dirt work. The Precision Sword handles combat, and the Precision Hammer is the heavy tool of the set.

The Precision Block is worth crafting once you have spare gems. It compresses nine gems into one block, which is useful for storage and for recipes that call for the block form.

If you are unsure which recipe uses which ingredient, read the Guide to Unique Crops. It lists the mod's crafting recipes in-game so you do not have to guess at grid layouts. Keep your first Precision Gem for the pick, then reinvest later gems into the rest of the set.
