Reinforcing Your Base with Wood Reinforcement Blocks

Plain wood walls will not hold. Reinforcement blocks let you harden a structure without tearing it down.

You can craft reinforcement variants for every wood type:

Match the reinforcement to the wood already in your build so the walls stay visually consistent.

Applying Reinforcements

Craft the reinforcement block for your wood type, then place it along the outer face of your walls, around windows, and behind doors. Prioritize the ground floor and any opening — doors, Vent, Vent trapdoor, and Curtain gaps are the first places anything will try to push through. Combine reinforcement with Steel Door and Steel Trapdoor at entrances, and back interior rooms with Steel block or Steel pillar where you keep your supplies. Reinforce in layers: outer shell first, then interior safe room.
