Crafting Bone Armor and the Bone Shield

Bone gear is a strong early defensive set when steel is still out of reach.

Bone Armor Pieces

From bone materials you can craft a full set:

• Bone helmet
• Bone chestplate
• Bone leggins
• Bone boots

Wear the full set for maximum coverage. Bone armor is light enough to keep you mobile while you gather the materials for steel.

The Bone Shield

Craft a Bone shield and keep it in your offhand. Raise it when anything closes distance — it buys you the seconds you need to reposition or swing. Pair the shield with a Steel sword or Fireaxe once you have one, so you can block and counter in the same fight.

Supporting Items

Carry Tendon and Decayedbone as crafting stock — they feed into bone recipes and other survival crafts. When you upgrade to steel, keep the bone set in a chest near your door as a backup for respawns. A spare Bone helmet and Bone chestplate on hand means you are never caught unarmored after a bad night.
