How to Craft and Use the Dirt, Grass, and Sand Generators

Crafting the Soil Generators

Dirt Generator, Grass Generator, and Sand Generator are each made with their own crafting_shaped recipe. Craft them one at a time at a crafting table, arranging ingredients in the required pattern for each block. Each finished block goes into your inventory and can be placed like any normal block.

Generating Dirt, Grass, and Sand

Place the Dirt Generator to produce dirt. Place the Grass Generator to produce grass. Place the Sand Generator to produce sand. Mine the generated blocks with a shovel to collect them quickly. Keep the generators on flat ground so the produced blocks are easy to reach.

Using the Materials

Dirt and grass are useful for farming plots and landscaping. Sand is used for glass smelting and crafting recipes. Because these three generators cover common building and farming needs, place them together in one area with a chest nearby. If you also craft the Gravel Generator, Mycelium Generator, and Soul Sand Generator, you can produce a full range of soil-type blocks. Each of those is a separate crafting_shaped recipe, so craft them individually as you gather the ingredients. This setup keeps a skyblock base supplied with the ground blocks needed for farms, paths, and construction.
