Wiring Power: Generator, Dynamo, Cable and Battery

Generate the power

Place a Generator and feed it burnable fuel. For continuous output, build a Dynamo and drive it with a Crank or a running engine — the Dynamo converts that motion into electricity. Run Cable between the Dynamo or Generator and whatever consumes power, such as the Backmix Reactor or a Battery for storage. Insert Cable Insulator wherever a cable passes through a solid block or spans a gap, otherwise the connection will not carry.

Store and distribute

A Battery buffers power so machines keep running when generation pauses. Connect the Battery inline with Cable so it charges from the Generator and discharges into the Reactor. If you run multiple machines, chain them off the same Cable line rather than running separate generators for each.

Practical layout

Keep the Generator, Dynamo, Battery, and Backmix Reactor within a short cable run to reduce insulator use. Place the Generator where you can easily refill it, and the Reactor next to your Fluid Pipe network so oil flows in and fuel flows out to the Tank or Gas Station. Test the line by placing a single machine first, confirming it runs, then expanding.
