Laying Asphalt Roads and Road Markings

Build the Road Surface

Place Asphalt blocks to form your road. For elevation changes, use Asphalt Slope, Lower Asphalt Slope (Flat), or Upper Asphalt Slope (Flat). Use Asphalt Slab for half-height edges. Line the road with Guard Rail to keep vehicles on track.

Paint the Markings

Road lines are separate blocks placed on top of the asphalt. Use Middle Line, Middle Double Line, Middle Side Line, Middle Edge Line, and Middle Edge Double Line for center and edge markings. Start Side Line, End Side Line, End Line, and End Double Line handle the ends of a lane. Long Line, Long Side Line, Long Corner Side Line, and Long Double Line cover longer stretches. Corner Line and Cross handle intersections, and Double Line works for solid dividers.

Signs and Directional Arrows

Direct traffic with Arrow, Arrow Left, Arrow Right, Arrow Left Right, Arrow Left Diagonal, and Arrow Right Diagonal. Longer versions exist: Long Arrow, Long Arrow Left, Long Arrow Right, Long Arrow Left Right, Long Arrow Left Diagonal, and Long Arrow Right Diagonal. Mark parking with Parking and No Parking, and mount signage using Sign and Sign Post. Zebras create pedestrian crossings. Combine these to build a complete, readable road network for your vehicles.
