How to Repair and Maintain Your Car

Diagnose the Problem

If the car will not start, check three things: fuel in the Canister, charge in the Battery, and condition of the engine. A drained Battery needs a Generator or Dynamo connected by Cable and Cable Insulator. An empty Canister needs refilling at a Gas Station, Tank, or Split Tank with Bio Diesel or Methanol.

Replace Worn Parts

Use a Hammer on the vehicle to service components. Replace the 3 Cylinder Engine or 6 Cylinder Engine if it is damaged. Swap the Battery when it no longer holds charge. Replace Big Wheel or standard wheels when handling degrades. If the body is destroyed, craft a replacement body (Acacia, Birch, Crimson, Dark Oak, Jungle, Oak, Spruce, or Warped Wood Body, or a Big variant) and refit it at the Car Workshop.

Workshop Repairs

Bring the car to a Car Workshop and use Car Workshop Part to rebuild damaged sections. Bumpers (Acacia, Birch, Crimson, Dark Oak Wood Bumper) and license plate holders (wood variants, Diamond, Emerald, Gold) can be reattached the same way. Keep spare parts in a Black Container, Blue Container, Brown Container, Cyan Container, Gray Container, Green Container, or Tank Container so repairs are quick. Regular refuelling and battery top-ups prevent most breakdowns on the road.
