How to Make Fuel: Canola Oil, Bio Diesel and Methanol

Grow and Press Canola

Plant Canola Seeds on farmland to grow Canola Crop. Harvest it for Canola Seeds and Canola Cake. Run Canola Seeds through the Oil Mill (car:oil_mill recipe) to obtain Canola Oil. Canola Oil can be stored in a Canola Oil Bucket or poured into a Tank or Split Tank.

Mix and Refine

Combine Canola Oil with other inputs in the Backmix Reactor to produce Canola Methanol Mix, stored in a Canola Methanol Mix Bucket. Feed the mix into a Blast Furnace or Generator setup to refine it into Methanol and Bio Diesel. Bio Diesel is stored in a Bio Diesel Bucket. Glycerin is a byproduct — collect it in a Glycerin Bucket for later use.

Move Fluids

Use Fluid Pipe and Fluid Extractor to pull fluids from the world or from tanks. Cable and Cable Insulator carry power between Generator, Dynamo, and Battery. A Gas Station holds fuel for vehicles; fill it from a Bio Diesel Bucket or Canister. A Crank provides manual power where needed. Keep a Canister on hand to carry fuel to a stranded car.
