How to Fill a Canister and Refuel Your Car

Fill the Canister

Craft a Canister. Bring it to a Gas Station, Tank, Split Tank, or any block holding Bio Diesel or Methanol. Interact to transfer fuel into the Canister. A Canister holds a limited amount, so refill it whenever you pass a station. You can also fill directly from a Bio Diesel Bucket or Canola Oil Bucket if you are topping up a tank rather than a canister.

Refuel the Vehicle

Open the car's fuel slot through the Car Workshop interface or by interacting with the vehicle. Insert the filled Canister into the fuel slot. The engine draws from the canister while running. When the canister empties, remove it and refill at a Gas Station. If the car uses a Battery for electrical systems, recharge it at a Generator or Dynamo connected by Cable.

Keep a Fuel Chain Ready

Set up a Gas Station near your base and pipe Bio Diesel into it from a Tank using Fluid Pipe. Keep spare Canisters in a Black Container, Blue Container, Brown Container, Cyan Container, Gray Container, Green Container, or a Tank Container variant so you always have fuel on hand. Refuel before long trips across Asphalt roads.
