Using a Stonecutter for Twigs Blocks

Why Use a Stonecutter

Most Twigs stone and silt blocks are produced through stonecutting. The stonecutter gives you slabs, stairs, and walls from a single base block without consuming extra materials per shape. This is the fastest way to convert raw stone, silt, and brick materials into full building sets.

Silt Shingle Sets

For each silt color, place the packed silt block into a stonecutter to produce:

• Shingles
• Shingle Slab
• Shingle Stairs
• Shingle Wall

This applies to Black Silt, Blue Silt, Brown Silt, Cyan Silt, Gray Silt, Green Silt, Light Blue Silt, Light Gray Silt, Lime Silt, and Magenta Silt families. Each color has its own shingle, slab, stair, and wall block.

Stone and Brick Sets

Use the stonecutter on Cobblestone Bricks to get Cobblestone Bricks Slab, Cobblestone Brick Stairs, and Cobblestone Bricks Wall. The same pattern applies to Calcite, Gravel Bricks, and Bloodstone — cut the base block into slabs, stairs, and walls.

Chiseled and Cracked Variants

Chiseled Silt Bricks, Chiseled Bricks, and Chiseled Smooth Basalt Bricks are produced through stonecutting from their base materials. Cracked Polished Calcite Bricks, Cracked Polished Schist Bricks, Cracked Polished Tuff Bricks, Cracked Silt Bricks, and Cracked Cobblestone Bricks are also stonecutter outputs. Smelting is used for a small number of conversions, but stonecutting covers the majority of shape variants.

Workflow

Mine or craft the base block, place the stonecutter, and cycle through the output list to pick the shape you need. Build a stock of slabs and stairs before starting a large structure so you are not interrupted mid-build.
