How to Find and Use Silt in Twigs

Finding Silt

Silt appears in eight colors: Black Silt, Blue Silt, Brown Silt, Cyan Silt, Gray Silt, Green Silt, Light Blue Silt, Light Gray Silt, Lime Silt, Magenta Silt, and their Packed Silt counterparts. Look for it in the same terrain where you would normally dig sand or gravel. Once you have loose silt, you can compact it into Packed Silt by crafting.

Turning Silt into Building Blocks

From any Packed Silt color you can craft a full building set. Use a stonecutter to convert one Packed Silt block into:

• Silt Shingles
• Silt Shingle Slab
• Silt Shingle Stairs
• Silt Shingle Wall
• Silt Pot

For example, Black Packed Silt yields Black Silt Shingles, Black Silt Shingle Slab, Black Silt Shingle Stairs, Black Silt Shingle Wall, and Black Silt Pot. The same pattern applies to Blue, Brown, Cyan, Gray, Green, Light Blue, Light Gray, Lime, and Magenta variants.

Chiseled and Cracked Variants

Combine Silt Bricks in a crafting grid to get Chiseled Silt Bricks. Smelt Silt Bricks in a furnace to produce Cracked Silt Bricks. These give you decorative options beyond the shingle set. Silt Pots work as flower-pot-style decoration blocks, so place them on top of fences or walls for detail work.
