Make 3D Doors Visible in First-Person View
Why Your Door Looks Flat
By default, True Doors Resource Pack only shows 3D door models in third-person view. When you hold a door in first-person (the normal camera angle), it may still appear as a flat item. This is a limitation of how Minecraft renders held items in first-person.
Enable First-Person Door Models
To see your 3D door model while holding it in first-person view:
1. Install the First-Person Model mod alongside True Doors
2. Load your world and enable the resource pack if you haven't already
3. Hold any door in your hand
4. Switch to first-person view (default: F5 key)
5. Your door should now display as a thick 3D model instead of a flat sprite
Alternative: Use Third-Person View
If you prefer not to install additional mods, simply press F5 to toggle to third-person camera mode. This always shows the proper 3D door model without requiring extra dependencies.
Troubleshooting
If the door still appears flat after installing First-Person Model, verify that True Doors is loaded *after* the mod in your resource pack list, and that both are enabled in your world settings.
