Crafting and Playing Bongo Drums

Bongo Drums come in two sizes: Medium Bongo Drum and Large Bongo Drum. Both are playable percussion blocks you place in the world and interact with.

Crafting the Drums

Craft a Medium Bongo Drum first, then upgrade or craft a Large Bongo Drum using additional materials. Both are crafted from wood-type materials available in the tropics, so gather Palm Planks, Mahogany Planks, or Mangrove Planks before starting.

Placing and Playing

Place a drum on a solid block and right-click it to play a note. Each hit produces a sound. Chain hits to build a rhythm. Place multiple drums side by side to create a drum kit — a Medium Bongo Drum next to a Large Bongo Drum gives you two distinct pitches.

Building a Stage

Lay Mahogany Boardwalk or Palm Boardwalk as a stage floor. Add Bamboo Stairs or Mahogany Stairs for seating. Use Bamboo Fence or Mahogany Fence as a barrier around the performance area. A Bamboo Sign labels the stage.

Pairing with Other Blocks

Set up a Drink Mixer nearby so guests can make Cocktails. Add Chunk Stairs or Chunk Slab for a stone accent around the stage. The combination of drums, drinks, and boardwalk creates a complete beach party area.
