Building a Beach Base with Palm and Mahogany Wood

Palm and Mahogany are the two main building woods for a tropical base. Both give you a full set of doors, fences, stairs, slabs, buttons, pressure plates, signs, and trapdoors, so you can build a complete structure without mixing materials.

Starting the Frame

Craft Palm Planks and Mahogany Planks first. Use them for walls, then add Palm Stairs and Mahogany Stairs for roofs and steps. Palm Fence and Mahogany Fence work for railings around a deck, and Palm Fence Gate or Mahogany Fence Gate gives you an entrance.

Finishing Touches

Add Palm Door and Mahogany Door for interiors, plus Palm Trapdoor and Mahogany Trapdoor for hatches. Palm Button and Mahogany Button control redstone, while Palm Pressure Plate and Mahogany Pressure Plate automate doors. Palm Sign and Mahogany Sign label your rooms.

Decking

Lay Palm Boardwalk and Mahogany Boardwalk for outdoor paths and pier surfaces. Bamboo Boardwalk is a third option if you want a lighter, greener look. Mix boardwalk types along a shoreline for visual variety.

Storage and Decor

Place a Bamboo Chest for storage and a Bamboo Item Frame to display trophies like an Azurite Gem or Eudialyte Gem. A Bamboo Flower Pot holds plants, and a Bamboo Ladder reaches upper floors.
