How to Use Chests, Strongboxes, and Mimic Spawn Eggs

Storage Chest Variants

The mod adds many chest-type blocks: Bone Chest, Cauldron Chest, Celestial Chest, Compressor Chest, Crystal Chest, Dread Pirate Chest, Gold Skull Chest, Infernal Chest, Ironbound Chest, Pirate Chest, Skull Chest, Spider Chest, Safe Chest, Gold Strongbox, and Iron Strongbox. Each is a placeable container. Choose based on the theme of the room — Pirate Chest and Dread Pirate Chest for nautical builds, Skull Chest and Gold Skull Chest for dungeons, Crystal Chest and Celestial Chest for magical rooms.

Crate Blocks

Crates form a separate storage family: Crate, Milk Crate, and Moldy Crate. Cardboard Box is also placeable storage. Use Crates for warehouses and Cardboard Box for temporary or moving storage.

Mimic Spawn Eggs

Many containers have a matching Mimic Spawn Egg: Chest Mimic Spawn Egg, Barrel Mimic Spawn Egg, Cardboard Box Mimic Spawn Egg, Cauldron Chest Mimic Spawn Egg, Crate Chest Mimic Spawn Egg, Milk Crate Mimic Spawn Egg, Moldy Crate Chest Mimic Spawn Egg, and Pirate Chest Mimic Spawn Egg. Use a spawn egg on the ground to place a mimic that disguises itself as that container. Place a mimic near real chests so players cannot tell which container is safe. Keep mimics away from your own storage unless you want the trap.
