Themed Backpack Recipes

Themed backpacks are made with the travelersbackpack:backpack_upgrade recipe type. You take an existing backpack and combine it with the material or mob-themed ingredient to produce the themed variant. The result keeps your stored items and installed upgrades, so switching themes never costs you progress.

Material-Themed Backpacks

Material themes include Coal Traveler's Backpack, Iron Traveler's Backpack, Gold Traveler's Backpack, Diamond Traveler's Backpack, Emerald Traveler's Backpack, Lapis Traveler's Backpack, Redstone Traveler's Backpack, Quartz Traveler's Backpack, Netherite Traveler's Backpack, Sandstone Traveler's Backpack, Snow Traveler's Backpack, Hay Traveler's Backpack, Melon Traveler's Backpack, Pumpkin Traveler's Backpack, Cactus Traveler's Backpack, Sponge Traveler's Backpack, Bookshelf Traveler's Backpack, Cake Traveler's Backpack, and End Traveler's Backpack. These are built around a recognizable block or material.

Mob-Themed Backpacks

Mob themes include Bat, Bee, Blaze, Chicken, Cow, Creeper, Dragon, Enderman, Fox, Ghast, Horse, Iron Golem, Magma Cube, Ocelot, Pig, Sheep, Skeleton, Spider, Squid, Villager, Warden, Wither, and Wolf Traveler's Backpack. Each uses a mob-inspired ingredient in the upgrade recipe.

Choosing a Theme

Theme is largely cosmetic, but some themed backpacks correspond to higher tiers — Diamond Traveler's Backpack and Netherite Traveler's Backpack, for example, sit at the top of the progression. If you want both a specific look and maximum capacity, target a high-tier themed backpack and upgrade into it directly. Otherwise, pick the theme you like and upgrade its tier afterward.
