How to Store Drops with the Magnetic Chest in Trapcraft

Placing the Magnetic Chest

Place a Magnetic Chest at the end of your trap corridor, next to the Spikes or the Igniter zone. The Magnetic Chest is a block, so it sits in the world like a normal storage block and can be opened by hand.

Positioning Relative to the Kill Zone

Put the Magnetic Chest within reach of the tiles where mobs die. If your Spikes line is long, place the Magnetic Chest at the midpoint of the line so drops from both ends land close to it. If you use an Igniter, place the Magnetic Chest just outside the fire tiles so the chest itself is not sitting in the flames.

Pairing with the Fan

The Fan pushes entities along the corridor. Place the Fan so it drives targets toward the Spikes and past the Magnetic Chest. This keeps the kill zone and the collection point in the same direction of travel, so you do not have to walk back and forth to collect drops.

Pairing with the Trap

Place the Trap at the corridor entrance and the Magnetic Chest at the far end. The Trap starts the sequence, the Spikes or Igniter finish it, and the Magnetic Chest holds the results.

Progression Logic

Build the Trap, Spikes, and Fan first so the corridor actually kills. Add the Magnetic Chest once the kill zone is stable, then add Grass Covering over the floor to hide the trap tiles from view.
