How to Hide Traps with Grass Covering in Trapcraft

What Grass Covering Does

Grass Covering is a block you place over trap tiles to disguise them. It occupies a block space like any other block, so you can lay it flush with the ground around your Trap, Spikes, and Igniter.

Covering a Spike Line

Place your Spikes in a line on the floor. Then place Grass Covering on the tiles immediately next to the Spikes so the Spike tiles read as part of the surrounding ground. Leave the Spike tiles themselves exposed so they still function, and cover only the approach tiles.

Covering a Trap Trigger

Place the Trap block on the path. Put Grass Covering on the tiles around the Trap so the trigger tile is the only visible break in the ground. A target walking the path steps on the Trap without noticing the surrounding tiles are different.

Covering an Igniter Setup

Place the Igniter and apply an Igniter Range Upgrade to widen its zone. Then place Grass Covering on the tiles outside the fire zone so the approach looks natural. Do not cover the Igniter tile itself.

Progression Logic

Build the functional trap first — Trap, Spikes, Fan, and Igniter. Confirm it triggers and kills. Then craft Grass Covering and lay it over the surrounding floor tiles. Add the Magnetic Chest at the collection point before you finish covering, so you do not have to dig up Grass Covering to place it.
