How to Build a Spike Trap Corridor with the Trapcraft Mod
Laying the Spikes
Place Spikes on the floor of a corridor where mobs or players must walk. Spikes are a block, so they occupy a full block space and can be placed in a line, a grid, or a single chokepoint tile. Because Spikes are blocks, you can bury them flush with the surrounding floor so the corridor still looks walkable.
Adding the Trap and Fan
Place a Trap block at the entrance of the corridor. The Trap is the trigger block — route your target across it so the trap fires when they step on it. Pair the Trap with a Fan placed at the far end of the corridor. The Fan pushes entities along the corridor and into the Spike line, so the target cannot simply stop on a safe tile.
Covering the Approach
Use Grass Covering to hide the floor tiles around the Trap and Spikes. Grass Covering is a block, so it blends the trap area into the terrain and keeps the corridor from looking suspicious. Leave the Trap tile itself reachable so the trigger still fires.
Progression Logic
Craft the Trap, Spikes, and Fan first, since they are the core of the corridor. Add Grass Covering once the kill zone works. If you want the Trap to cover a wider area rather than a single tile, craft an Igniter Range Upgrade and apply it to extend the trigger zone. Test the corridor with a single mob before expanding it.
