Working with Copper Lanterino Oxidation and Waxing

Know the oxidation stages

The Copper Lanterino family has four visual stages: Copper Lanterino, Exposed Copper Lanterino, Weathered Copper Lanterino, and Oxidized Copper Lanterino. Each stage also has a compressed and double compressed form, for example Exposed Compressed Copper Lanterino and Oxidized Double Compressed Copper Lanterino. Oxidation changes the block's appearance over time.

Stop oxidation with wax

To lock a Copper Lanterino at its current stage, apply wax to get the Waxed version. Every stage has a waxed counterpart: Waxed Copper Lanterino, Waxed Exposed Copper Lanterino, Waxed Weathered Copper Lanterino, and Waxed Oxidized Copper Lanterino. The compressed and double compressed tiers follow the same naming, such as Waxed Exposed Compressed Copper Lanterino and Waxed Oxidized Double Compressed Copper Lanterino.

Choose your target stage first

Decide which look you want before waxing. If you want the fully oxidized green look, let the block reach Oxidized Copper Lanterino and then wax it into Waxed Oxidized Copper Lanterino. If you wax too early, you lock in the earlier stage and cannot progress oxidation afterward.

Compress after waxing or before

Compression and waxing are separate steps. You can compress a Copper Lanterino into Compressed Copper Lanterino and then wax it, or wax first and compress the waxed block. The naming stays consistent either way, so Waxed Compressed Copper Lanterino and Waxed Double Compressed Copper Lanterino exist alongside the unwaxed versions.
