Compressing and Double Compressing Lanterinos

Understand the compression chain

Compression is a strict one-step-at-a-time upgrade. You cannot jump from a base block to a double compressed block. The chain for each family is:

• Lanternino → Compressed Lanterino → Double Compressed Lanterino
• Torcherino → Compressed Torcherino → Double Compressed Torcherino
• Jack o'Lanterino → Compressed Jack o'Lanterino → Double Compressed Jack o'Lanterino

Craft each tier in order

Place your base block into the crafting grid to get the Compressed version. Then use that Compressed block as the ingredient to get the Double Compressed version. Do not try to combine two base blocks to skip a tier — the recipe expects the previous compressed tier, not the raw block.

Pick the right family

Decide which family you actually need before you start. Double Compressed Torcherino is the end of the Torcherino line. Double Compressed Lanterino and Double Compressed Jack o'Lanterino are the ends of their respective lines. Each family is independent, so a Compressed Lanterino will never turn into a Compressed Torcherino.

Stock ingredients before you begin

Because each step consumes the previous tier, you need one base block per final double compressed block, plus the intermediate crafts. Gather enough Lanternino, Torcherino, or Jack o'Lanterino blocks up front so you are not stopping mid-chain to craft more base blocks.
