Making a Probe Helmet (Iron, Gold, or Diamond)

There are three probe helmets: Iron Helmet with Probe, Golden Helmet with Probe, and Diamond Helmet with Probe. All three use the theoneprobe:probe_helmet recipe type, so the crafting logic is the same — only the base helmet material changes. Choose based on the armor you already wear so the probe helmet replaces your normal helmet without losing protection tier.

Crafting Steps

You need The One Probe plus the matching vanilla helmet (Iron Helmet, Golden Helmet, or Diamond Helmet). Combine them through the probe helmet recipe to produce the corresponding Helmet with Probe. The result is a wearable helmet that shows probe information while equipped, so you no longer need The One Probe sitting in your inventory for the overlay.

Practical Notes

Wear the helmet in your head slot as normal armor. Because it is a real helmet, it protects you at its material tier while also running the probe. If you switch armor sets, craft a second probe helmet for the new tier rather than converting — each recipe consumes its base helmet. Diamond Helmet with Probe gives the highest protection of the three; Iron Helmet with Probe is the cheapest to replace if you lose it.
