How to Use the Paint Kit and Framed Blocks

Paint blocks to match your build

The Paint Kit changes the appearance of the mod's cable and connector blocks so they blend into surrounding builds. Hold the Paint Kit and use it on a placed Framed Inventory Cable, Inventory Cable Connector (Framed), or Inventory Trim to apply a look. Framed variants are the blocks designed to accept a painted appearance; plain Inventory Cable and Inventory Cable Connector keep their default look.

Plan the run before painting

Lay out the network first with Inventory Cable, Inventory Cable Connector, and Inventory Cable Connector (Framed) so every container is linked. Add Inventory Trim over exposed cable. Only once the routing is final should you paint, because repainting after moving blocks means redoing the work. Keep a Paint Kit in your inventory while building so you can touch up sections as you go.

Keep the network functional

Painting is cosmetic — a painted Framed Inventory Cable still carries items exactly like a plain one. Do not replace a working Inventory Connector with a decorative block unless that block is a framed connector, or the container will drop off the network. If a chest stops appearing in the Storage Terminal after you redecorate, re-check that an Inventory Connector still touches it. Use the Inventory Configurator to confirm the connection is still active.
