Balance TNT Damage for Hardcore Survival
Understand Damage Scaling
The TNT Damage Booster uses a percentage system where 100 equals normal Minecraft behavior. Lowering this value makes TNT less lethal; raising it increases danger. For hardcore mode, consider starting at 75–100 to keep TNT threatening but survivable with proper preparation.
Set Your Hardcore Value
Open chat and type:
`
/trigger tnt_damage set <value>
`
Choose a value that matches your survival difficulty. Lower values (50–75) suit newer players; higher values (125–150) reward experienced survivors with better armor and positioning.
Account for Armor and Enchantments
The data pack respects all armor defense values and Explosion Protection enchantments. A player in full diamond armor with Explosion Protection IV will survive blasts that would kill an unarmored player. This means your chosen damage value should reflect the gear your players typically wear.
Monitor and Refine
After a few TNT encounters, adjust the value if deaths feel unfair or if TNT poses no real threat. The instant-apply system lets you tune difficulty on the fly without world resets.
