How to Build Your First TIS-3D Computer

Place the Core Blocks

Start with a Controller. The Controller is the brain of the system: it holds modules and executes code. Place the Controller down, then place a Casing adjacent to it to expand the structure. Casings hold additional modules and connect to the Controller.

Insert Modules

Right-click the Controller or a Casing while holding a module to insert it. A working computer needs at least one Execution Module to run code and one RAM Module to store it. Add a Terminal Module to see output and type commands directly. A Display Module lets you render text or graphics in the world.

Power and Program

Apply a redstone signal to the Controller to power the system. Open the interface by right-clicking the Controller. Use the Code Bible or the TIS-3D Reference Manual to look up instructions while you write. Write a simple program in the Execution Module, store it in RAM, and run it. If nothing happens, check that the Execution Module and RAM Module are both seated and that the Controller has power.

Expand

Once the basics run, add a Stack Module or a Queue Module for data handling, or a Redstone Module to read and emit redstone signals from your program.
