Using Growth Crystals to Speed Up Farming

Placing Growth Crystals

Growth Crystal, Growth Crystal Tier 2, and Growth Crystal Tier 3 accelerate crop and plant growth in the area around them. Place a Growth Crystal near the plants you want to speed up. Higher tiers cover more ground or work faster, so upgrade from Tier 1 to Tier 2 to Tier 3 as you gather the materials.

What to Grow Around Them

Growth Crystals pair well with the mod's own crops and bushes. Plant Blueberry Bush and Blackberry Bush nearby to harvest Blueberry and Blackberry, which you can press into Blueberry Juice and Blackberry Juice. Use them alongside Sugar Cane so you can produce Compressed Sugar Cane and Double Compressed Sugar Cane faster. Reed and Dried up Reed also benefit from the accelerated growth.

Combining with Processing

Once your crops mature quickly, feed the output into your cooking and crafting lines. Blueberry and Blackberry go into juices; Sugar Cane compresses into Compressed Sugar Cane and Double Compressed Sugar Cane; Sugar compresses into Compressed Sugar and Double Compressed Sugar. Set up a row of Growth Crystals between your bushes and your sugar cane so a single walk-through harvests everything. Upgrade the crystals whenever you have spare materials, since faster growth means more juice and more compressed blocks per session.
