Choosing Which Mob Farm Tier to Build

Match the Tier to Your Resources

The mod has eight mob farm blocks: Wooden Mob Farm, Stone Mob Farm, Iron Mob Farm, Golden Mob Farm, Diamond Mob Farm, Emerald Mob Farm, Inferno Mob Farm, and Ultimate Mob Farm. Each is crafted with a shaped recipe, and each tier costs more than the one below it. Start with the Wooden Mob Farm if you are early in the game, then move to the Stone Mob Farm and Iron Mob Farm as your materials grow.

When to Jump Ahead

If you already have plenty of gold, diamonds, or emeralds, you can craft the Golden Mob Farm, Diamond Mob Farm, or Emerald Mob Farm directly instead of climbing one tier at a time. The Inferno Mob Farm and Ultimate Mob Farm are the two highest blocks, so save them for when you have gathered everything their shaped recipes require.

Check the recipe book before each craft so you know exactly which ingredients the tier needs. Place only one farm block at a time and keep it in a loaded chunk. Use the Lasso to move mobs into whichever farm you settle on, and upgrade later by crafting the next block in the chain.
