How to Collect Rocks, Fragments, and Sticks

Where Each Material Comes From

Rocks, fragments, and sticks generate as small ground clutter in their matching biomes. Walk over or break them to pick them up.

• Stone Rock, Cobblestone Fragment, Andesite Rock, Andesite Fragment, Diorite Rock, Diorite Fragment, Granite Rock, Granite Fragment, and Gravel Rock appear in overworld stone terrain.
• Sandstone Rock, Sandstone Fragment, Red Sandstone Rock, and Red Sandstone Fragment appear in sandy terrain.
• Ice Rock and Ice Fragment appear in frozen terrain.
• Netherrack Rock, Netherrack Fragment, Soul Soil Rock, and Soul Soil Fragment appear in the Nether.
• End Stone Rock and End Stone Fragment appear in the End.
• Oak Stick, Spruce Stick, Birch Stick, Jungle Stick, Acacia Stick, Dark Oak Stick, Mangrove Stick, Cherry Stick, Pale Oak Stick, Bamboo Stick, Crimson Stick, and Warped Stick appear as fallen sticks near their matching trees.

Beach and Special Finds

Seashell, Starfish, and Pinecone are standalone finds. Geyser and Nether Geyser are blocks rather than pickups.

Sweep a biome thoroughly before moving on. Fragments and rocks of the same material often sit close together, so a single pass through a stone patch or a beach usually fills several inventory slots at once.
