What the Item Magnet Does

The Item Magnet pulls dropped items toward you, saving time when mining or farming mobs. It is one of the mod's utility items and is crafted from processed gleaming materials plus other components.

Crafting Path

Start by mining Gleaming Ore or Deepslate Gleaming Ore to get Gleaming Compound, then process it into Gleaming Powder. The Item Magnet recipe uses Gleaming Powder alongside additional ingredients. If you are unsure of the exact grid, open the Things Almanac — it lists the recipe for every craftable item in the mod.

Using It in the Field

Hold the Item Magnet while mining so drops fly to you instead of scattering. This pairs well with the Mining Glove, which speeds up block breaking, and the Arm Extender, which increases your reach. Together they let you clear an area and collect everything without walking over each drop.

Related Utility Items

Once you have the Item Magnet working, consider crafting the Ender Pouch for portable storage and the Recall Potion for quick returns to base. The Container Key is useful for locking containers so your magnet-gathered loot stays safe. All of these are part of the same progression branch, so the gleaming materials you already gathered will carry over.
