How to Craft and Use Lumium Rails

Crafting the Lumium Rail Set

Lumium Rail is the base track of the Lumium family. Craft it from Lumium and the usual rail materials to get a batch of rails. The set also includes Lumium Powered Rail, Lumium Detector Rail, and Lumium Activator Rail. Craft each variant by combining the corresponding vanilla rail type with Lumium, so a single Lumium supply covers your whole track.

Laying a Lumium Line

Place Lumium Rail as ordinary track. Use Lumium Powered Rail where carts need a boost — power it with Redstone from a lever, button, or Redstone block. Lumium Detector Rail outputs a Redstone signal when a cart rolls over it, which is useful for triggering doors, lamps, or counters at a station. Lumium Activator Rail fires when a cart passes, letting you eject riders or prime TNT minecarts.

Junctions with Crossover Rail

Lumium Crossover Rail is the Lumium-family crossover block. Set it at any point where two tracks intersect so a cart can switch lines. Feed Lumium Powered Rail into both sides of the crossover to keep momentum through the junction, and use Lumium Detector Rail just past it to confirm a cart cleared the switch.

Materials

Lumium comes from processing Lumium Dust, which you obtain by alloying the mod's metals. Keep a stack of Lumium on hand before you start a long line so you do not run short mid-build.
